Bachelor of Arts Degrees

Biblical Studies 
Adegree in Biblical Studies provides a wide range of options for anystudent desiring to go into the ministry. From church planting to youthministries, the degree will equip every student with the tools needed to study the Word of God effectively as well as teach and counsel inthe local church. Each student who pursues a degree in Biblical Studies will choose an emphasis in one of the following eight emphases: Bible exposition, biblical languages, church planting, biblical counseling, evangelism, pastoral studies, theology, or youth ministries. Cross-Cultural Studies 
Northlandis passionate about the Cross-Cultural Studies program, which prepares students for global ministry. Through specific courses and a cross-cultural internship, students are equipped to fulfill the Great Commission.Thee Cross-Cultural Studies degree offers the following two emphases: cross-cultural education and missions. The cross-cultural education emphasis further prepares the student, especially through the use of TESL, for tentmaking service in countries not traditionally considered open. The missions emphasis focuses on developing the student’s preaching skills and church development strategies. History 
Northland’s History degree offers a rich and variedprogram. From Middle Eastern History and Islam to World Geography, thecourses in the history program provide a well-rounded picture of thephilosophies, religions, and events that have shaped the world. Bachelor of Science Degrees

Church Ministries 
Ministriestoday need godly coaches to mentor their students as well as organizedoffice managers to supervise the details of the ministry. If a young person isinterested in working for a local church or a parachurch ministry—suchas a camp or Christian school, Northland’s Church Ministries degree willprovide excellent preparation. With this degree a student can choose one of the following five emphases: camp ministries, Christian education, family and women’s ministries, office administration, or sports ministries. Elementary Education 
God has blessed some young people with a gift for teaching and working with children.Majoring in Elementary Education will equip students with the toolsnecessary to teach academic subjects enthusiastically, to organize and manage classrooms efficiently, and to deal with various learning styles and abilities. English Education 
Northland’s English Education degree will not only inspire a love for literatureand excellent composition, this program will also allow you to walkconfidently into a secondary-level English classroom, competent toinstruct in grammar, composition, and literature. History Education
The History Education program at Northland offers excellent preparation for teachinghistory on the secondary level in both traditional and innovative classroom settings. Course work includes traditional subject content as well as carefully designed field experiences. History has objective value, and Northland’s history faculty believes that God is the author, sustainer, and end of all human endeavors. Mathematics Education
Some students enjoyed and excelled in their high school math courses. If they would liketo continue in this field of study, Northland’s Mathematics Education programwill thoroughly equip them with the necessary skill set. Northland’s math faculty firmly believes that math is a powerful tool by which the Creator reveals Himself to show the complexity, uniformity, and brilliance of the universe. Whether the student’s goal is toteach on a secondary level or to pursue further education, this programwill teach the student how to think critically and and to develop essential problem-solving skills. Music
Music is a gift from God, and the Music Department is excited to prepare students who can minister God-honoring, biblically based music effectively in local churches, on the mission field, or as teachers in Christian schools or private studios. The music core includes a strong combination of classes designed to refine a student’s music theory and to deepen an understanding of music history and literature while providing many performance opportunities. Speech Education 
Studentswho love theatre or performing literature will love Northland’s Speech Education degree. The Speech Education degree blends training in publicspeaking, performance studies, or dramatic productions with Northland’sunique brand of ministry drama. Students may choose one of the following threeemphases: directing, performance studies, or public speaking. Northlandoffers many performance opportunities, allowing students to developtheir talent during their four years of college. Associate of Arts Degrees

For students who are unable to pursue a four-year degree, a two-year associate of arts degree may be the perfect solution!

  • TheBiblical Studies associate program provides students with all the toolsneeded to be an effective layman in the local church as well asproviding a strong biblical foundation before pursuing a degree inanother secular field.
  • The Cultural Studies associate program prepares students for global missions work or may serve as afoundational degree before pursuing another degree such as nursing,aviation, or premed. 

Associate of Science Degree

Anassociate degree in Church Ministries will equip you with thefoundational training needed to be effective in one of the following two areas. The family and women’s ministries focus providesyoung ladies with the skills needed to be effective in the home and localchurch.
